The Use Case ASIC demonstrates this in the treatment of patients with acute respiratory distress syndrome (ARDS), a disease that still kills around 40 percent of all patients today. Under the leadership of the University Hospital Aachen, a smartphone app has been developed in cooperation with seven other university hospitals as an early warning system for potential ARDS. The ASIC App evaluates data collected during the treatment of patients in the intensive care unit. If ARDS is suspected, intensive care physicians are alerted by a mobile device in their coat pocket.[/vc_column_text][vc_empty_space height=”15px”][vc_column_text css=””]Project duration: 01.01.2018 to 31.12.2023[/vc_column_text][vc_empty_space height=”15px”][vc_column_text css=””]More information about ASIC can be found here.[/vc_column_text][/qode_elements_holder_item][/qode_elements_holder][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row css_animation=”” row_type=”row” use_row_as_full_screen_section=”no” type=”grid” angled_section=”no” text_align=”left” background_image_as_pattern=”without_pattern” z_index=”” css=”.vc_custom_1620640814669{background-color: #f5f6f6 !important;}”][vc_column css_animation=”none” css=”.vc_custom_1620808961849{padding-top: 0px !important;padding-right: 0px !important;padding-bottom: 0px !important;padding-left: 0px !important;background-color: #ffffff !important;}”][qode_elements_holder number_of_columns=”two_columns” custom_class=”mobile_reverse”][qode_elements_holder_item vertical_alignment=”top” horizontal_alignment=”left” advanced_animations=”no” item_padding=”5%”][vc_column_text css=””]

Use Case HELP – Targeted Antibiotic Therapy in Infectious Diseases

[/vc_column_text][vc_empty_space height=”25px”][vc_column_text css=””]The Use Case HELP of the SMITH Consortium addresses the guideline-based and recommended use of antibiotics for early, targeted control of bacterial infections.
