SMITH-Science Day 2022
SMITH-Science Day | 23.11.2022 | RWTH Aachen University Hospital
On November 23, 2022, the SMITH Science Day took place at the RWTH Aachen University Hospital under the motto “Sustainably improve Clinical Research and Patient Care – A review 2022”. In this context, project staff and especially young scientists presented results that were generated in SMITH during the development and networking phase of the Medical Informatics Initiative.
In 14 short presentations, the speakers shared the progress and findings from the SMITH Use Cases and Data Use Projects, the achievements in medical informatics teaching, and the development of the IT infrastructure. In addition, 31 posters were submitted on the status of SMITH Use Cases and Data Use Projects and on building the IT infrastructure by SMITH members.
The main topics of the presentations and poster exhibition were:
- the progress in building the SMITH IT infrastructure
- the current status of SMITH use cases and data use projects (DUPs)
- selected results from the use cases and data use projects
- achievements in medical informatics teaching
