SMITH at DMEA 2022

The last two years of the pandemic have once again proved how much potential there is in the digitization of medicine and how important a cross-site networked health IT infrastructure is for more extensive and effective healthcare. The networking of research and care thus took on a completely new significance during this period. It is therefore even more important that those who are driving digitization in healthcare are in constant exchange with each other. To this end, digital health experts will meet from April 26 to 28 at DMEA, Europe’s largest event for digital healthcare. After taking place online for two years, this time the event will once again be held live in the Berlin exhibition halls for three days of presentations and discussions on innovations and opportunities in digital medicine.

This year, partners as well as stakeholders in the SMITH consortium will again be represented with exhibition booths and presentations.

As one of four consortia of the Medical Informatics Initiative (MII), the SMITH consortium pursues the goal of digitally networking patient data generated during a hospital stay across locations and thus making it accessible to clinical and biomedical research.

SMITH partners ID Berlin, TMF e.V., University Hospital RWTH Aachen, Averbis, März and the ZTG GmbH will be displaying information materials on SMITH at their booths.

In addition, employees and partners of the SMITH consortium will be present with diverse contributions in a wide variety of formats.
