Leipzig Health Atlas

The Leipzig Health Atlas (LHA) acts as a crucial resource for medical research by providing a comprehensive collection of clinical and epidemiologic studies, clinical registries and other prospective research projects. These data sources play a central role in evidence-based medicine and often serve as the basis for secondary research, disease prediction models and disease progression.

However, this valuable data is often insufficiently described or difficult to access. The same applies to models, especially those for predicting or classifying diseases and disease stages, which are often not available as user-friendly program tools for healthcare and biomedical professionals.

To close this gap, the interdisciplinary Leipzig Health Atlas project was expanded as part of the SMITH Health Atlas. It now offers an integrated and sustainable archive for medical data, metadata, models and new phenotypes from various research projects. This information is available on request to interested users from the healthcare and biomedical sectors.

The Leipzig Health Atlas can be accessed at www.health-atlas.de. The idea and further development of the project are ensured by the DFG program NFDI4Health and the implementation of decentralized Local Data Hubs.
